For quick reference, record the identification numbers in the spaces that are provided below the illustration.

Product Identification Number (PIN) and CE Plate

The Product Identification Number (PIN) is on the left side of the front loader frame. This plate will have the following information:

This plate is on the bottom left side of the Identification Plate.

Note: The CE plate is on machines that are certified to the European Union requirements that are listed on the "Document of Conformity". If the machine is equipped with the plate for the European Union, the plate is attached to the PIN plates.

For machines that are compliant to "2006/42/EC", the following information is stamped onto the CE plate. For quick reference, record this information in the spaces that are provided below.

Eurasian Economic Union

For machines compliant to the Eurasian Economic Union requirements, the EAC mark plate is positioned near the Product Identification Number (PIN) plate (see Product Information Section of the machine Operation and Maintenance Manual). The EAC mark plate is placed on machines certified to the Eurasian Economic Union requirements effective at the time of market entry.

If equipped, this label is located next to the Pin plate. This label verifies that the product meets the requirements of ICES-002 Issue 6. Compliance to ICES-002 Issue 6 is accomplished by meeting electromagnetic emissions industry standard CISPR-12.

Sound Certification Film

If equipped, this label is on the cab door.

Typical example

If equipped, the certification label is used to verify the environmental sound certification of the machine to the requirements of the European Union. The value that is listed on the label indicates the guaranteed exterior sound power level L_WA at the time of manufacture.

Structural damage, an overturn, modification, alteration, or improper repair can impair this structure's protection capability thereby voiding this certification. Do not weld on or drill holes in the structure. This will void the certification. Consult your Cat dealer to determine this structure's limitations without voiding its certification.

This machine has been certified to the standards that are listed on the certification film. The maximum mass of the machine, which includes the operator and the attachments without a payload, should not exceed the mass on the certification film.

Product Link

If equipped, this message is used to verify the certification of the Product Link as an RF transmitter. The following specifications are provided to aid in ensuring compliance with all local regulations:

This machine is equipped with a Caterpillar Product Link communication device. When electric detonators are used, this communication device should be deactivated within 12 m (40 ft) of a blast site for satellite-based systems and within 3 m (10 ft) of a blast site for cellular based systems, or within the distance mandated under applicable legal requirements. Failure to do so could cause interference with blasting operations and result in serious injury or death. In cases where the type of Product Link module cannot be identified, Caterpillar recommends that the device be disabled no less than 12 m (40 ft) from the blast perimeter.

If the machine is required to work within 12 m (240 ft) of a blast site, power to the Product Link module must be disconnected.
