請參閱重複使用與廢物利用指南, SEBF8146, "目測檢查凸輪軸"，並且檢查下列組件的各個金屬與金屬接觸點是否有磨損：
- 用於氣門挺柱的滾子
- 凸輪軸
檢查每個滾子是否有磨損、過度運動與端隙的跡象。
若發現有過度磨損或其他惡化跡象，請換掉受損的組件。
