Start By:

  1. Remove the rear tires and rims.
  2. Remove the rear drive shaft.

  1. Disconnect harness assembly (1). Cut cable strap (2) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) .

  1. Disconnect tube assembly (5) .

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to the oscillating axle. The weight of the oscillating axle is approximately 1635 kg (3600 lb).

  1. Remove bolts (7). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

  1. Remove bolts (8) and remove bolts (9) .

  1. Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to lower oscillating axle (10) onto Tooling (B). Remove the suitable lifting device from oscillating axle (10). Use Tooling (B) in order to move oscillating axle (10) from under the machine.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install oscillating axle (10) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten bolts (7), (8), and (9) to a torque of 1000 ± 125 N·m (738 ± 92 lb ft). Tighten bolts (7), (8), and (9) an additional 120° ± 10°.
