New Flywheel Assemblies Are Available For Use With Spicer Transmissions{1156}

Usage:

3406 and 3408 Truck Engines

SUPPLEMENT: 06/06/77

SERVICE MAGAZINE, JANUARY 17, 1977, PAGE 7. In the article "New Flywheel Assemblies Are Available For Use With Spicer Transmissions", change the word "Transmissions" in the title of the article to read "Clutches". Also, change the first sentence in the first paragraph to read, "New flywheel assemblies are used with the Spicer Clutches to give more clearance between these two components".

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: New flywheel assemblies are now used with the Spicer Transmissions, to give more clearance for the dampened (less vibration) Spicer clutch. With the former flywheels, the clutch disc can wear enough to permit these two parts to have contact.

Adaptable As: Shown in the chart. The new flywheel assembly is a direct replacement for the former flywheel assembly on earlier engines.
