Usage:
Three new sockets for hexagonal-head bolts are available to remove bolts fastened with flat metal locks. Illustration 1. With these sockets the locks can be loosened, and it is not necessary to bend the lock tabs away from the bolt head (Illustration 2).

Keep hands off the lock and socket when you remove the last bolt from a lock with more than one hole. The lock will spin when the last bolt becomes loose and can cut your hand.

The sockets come in three sizes. The 5P6587 1/2" Socket is for a 1/2" hexagonal head bolt, the 5P6588 9/16" Socket is to be used with 9/16" hexagonal head bolts, and the 5P6589 3/4" Socket is for 3/4" hexagonal head bolts. Illustration 3 shows how to install metal locks.
