Electronic Control Module - Remove and Install

Usage:

G3508 DLR

Removal Procedure

    ------ WARNING! ------

    When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment:

    Make sure the unit is off-line (disconnected from utility and/or other generators power service), and either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE. Remove all fuses.

    ----------------------

  1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".

  1. Disconnect harness assemblies (4) from electronic control module (3) .

  1. Disconnect ground strap (1) .

  1. Remove bolts (2), the mounts, the spacers, and electronic control module (3) .

  1. If necessary, remove bolts (6) and bracket (5) .

Installation Procedure

  1. If necessary, position bracket (5) and install bolts (6) .

  1. Install electronic control module (3), the spacers, the mounts, and bolts (2) .

  1. Connect grounding strap (1). Position ground strap (1) between the bolt head and the washer.

  1. Connect harness assemblies (4) to electronic control module (3) .

  1. Connect the battery. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery or Battery Cable - Disconnect".
