  1. Install gear (12) and gasket (13). Install nut (11). Tighten nut (11) to a torque of 110 ± 14 N·m (81 ± 10 lb ft).

  2. Install Tooling (B). Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to transmission oil pump (9). The weight of transmission oil pump (9) is approximately 33 kg (72 lb). Raise transmission oil pump (9) into position. Install transmission oil pump (9). Install bolts (10).

  3. Install elbow (8) and bolts (7). Install clamp (6). Connect hose assemblies (4) and (5).

  4. Slide hose (2) from tube assembly (3) and onto the elbow that was previously installed. Tighten clamps (1).

  5. Fill the pump drive with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission Oil - (Change)".

End By:

  1. Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install".

  2. Raise the guard for the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Power Train Guard (Transmission) - Remove".
