The self test of the instrument cluster will begin when the key start switch is moved from the OFF position to the RUN position. The self test will continue until the self test is completed, regardless of the position of the key start switch. During the self test, the following functions will be performed:

• The LCD gauges are set to the minimum position. The LCD gauges move slowly from the minimum value to the maximum value during the self test.

• The LCD icons are illuminated. The icons include the hour meter, the selected gear, and the speed.

• All alert indicators (LED) are illuminated for testing.

• The alarm mode activates at the beginning of the self test mode. The alarm state remains on for one second.

After completion of the self test, the instrument cluster goes to normal mode operation.
