Description of Change: New wiper seals are now used in the oscillating axle trunnion supports. The new seals will reduce contamination of the trunnion joints. A seal installer is available to assist in the installation of the trunnion support to the rear trunnion.
In addition, an auxiliary grease line has been added to the rear cover of the axle housing. This new line provides better grease distribution to the rear area of the trunnion support.
Adaptable To: The three 4V-4884 O-Ring Seals have been replaced by three new 273-5012 Wiper Seals (1) within the 107-0699 Oscillating Axle (Rear).
The FT-3087 Seal Installer is available to assist in the installation of the trunnion support to the rear trunnion. Temporarily bolt the seal installer to the rear trunnion with two 3/4 inch bolts that are 3 inch long. Install the seal to the rear trunnion support. Installation of the rear trunnion support over the rear trunnion is now easier due to the ramp that is provided by the seal installer.

The 4B-4550 Pressure Relief Fitting in bearing retainer (2) has also been replaced by a new 5M-6214 Pipe Plug .
In addition, the 1K-6853 Fitting has been removed and the 5K-9243 Flared Elbow (5) has been installed. A new 304-3672 Tube As (4) connects to new elbow (5) and new 9L-8496 Inverted Flared Tee (3).
