This Technical Information Bulletin replaces the Technical Information Bulletin, TIBU4353-00 15 September, "Check Engine Light ON with No Active Fault Codes for Pre-ACERT and ACERT Truck Engines for Models 3126E, C7, C9, C11, C13, and C15". Disregard this article. Refer to the following information.

Problem

The check engine light may illuminate when there are no active fault codes.

Solution

Confirm the status of the cruise control set/resume switch and the diagnostic enable switch. Ensure that the status of the switches reads OFF or "not programmed" on the status screen. If the check engine light remains on and the status of the switches is correct, flash the ECM with the latest version of software. If the check engine light remains on and the ECM has been flashed with the latest version of software, contact the ECM Hot Line at the following phone number.
