Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

- The access door to the hydraulic tank is located on top of the engine compartment toward the front. Open the access door.

Illustration 2 g01238142 - Press the button on the breaker relief valve (3 ) in order to relieve any tank pressure.
- Clean the cover (2) and the surrounding surface area.
- Remove the four bolts (1) and remove the cover (2).
- There are two filters for each cover assembly. Remove the used filter elements. Be sure to dispose of the used filters properly.
- Install the new filter elements and replace the cover.
- Install the cover and the four bolts.
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 for the four remaining filters.
- Close the access door.
