快坠阀 (1) 安装在各油缸的顶端,用于提升铲刀。 这些阀使推土铲铲刀快速下落。 此阀也可用于当推土铲在地面上时使压力下降的应用。

当铲刀提升控制阀移至提升位置时,液压油流入进油口 (11) 的阀内。 液压油经过节流孔 (12) 流入腔 (13) 。 液压油流过衬套 (14) 、流经油道 (16) 并流出出油口 (15) ,流至提升油缸的活塞杆端。 少量的机油通过节流孔 (10) 流入柱塞 (5) 后面的腔 (9) 内。 此油压增至将阀 (3) 和柱塞 (5) 推压至衬套 (15) 的弹簧 (8) 的作用力中。 当克服衬套 (14) 推压阀 (3) 时,油缸盖端出油口 (2) 截止流至油缸活塞杆端的液压油。 液压油从缸盖端流入出油口 (2) 处的阀内,并通地进油口 (6) 流回控制阀。

当铲刀未受到阻力降下时,铲刀的重量使液压油从油缸的活塞杆端经过快坠阀流回铲刀提升控制阀。 当机油流经节流孔 (12) 时,导致油缸活塞杆端的压力增大。 推压阀 (3) 端面的液压油使阀和柱塞 (5) 克服弹簧 (8) 的作用力移动。 于是来自油缸活塞杆端的回油汇入至油缸盖端的控制阀流量内。 这样使铲刀快速下落。

铲刀操纵杆移入降下位置的轻微运动使铲刀缓慢下降而不启动快坠阀。 在此情况下,油缸活塞杆端的油流不足以使压力升高至可以移动阀 (3) 和柱塞 (5) 。 活塞杆端的机油全部返回控制阀。 仅压力油流至缸盖端。

当铲刀降至地面并且使铲刀不再移动的阻力大于其重量时,油缸活塞杆端的油量下降。 当流经节流孔 (12) 的机油下降时,衬套端面 (14) 的压力下降。 这使得弹簧 (8) 的作用力克服衬套 (14) 向左移动阀 (3) 和柱塞 (5) 。 回油全部流至控制阀。 压力油全部输送至缸盖端。 油道 (17) 允许部分压力油流入柱塞 (5) 和阀 (3) 之间的腔 (4) 内。 这样可提供克服衬套 (14) 保持住阀 (3) 的液压力。

柱塞 (5) 内的油道 (7) 防止柱塞移过节流孔 (10) 时出现液压锁定。
