Air Tank - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the brake relay valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relay Valve (Brake) - Remove and Install". The information is in this manual.
- Remove two bolts (1) from valve (2). Remove valve (2) from the cover. Lay the valve aside.

- Disconnect electrical connector (3) from pressure sensor group (4) .

- Remove bolt (5) and remove the clip.
- Remove sensor (6) and remove pressure sensor (4) .
- Disconnect electrical connector (7) for solenoid valve (8) .

- Remove two screws (9) and remove solenoid valve (8) from the cover.

- Disconnect hose assembly (10) from the rear of the air tank.

- Disconnect hose assembly (11) from the front of the air tank.
- Remove three bolts (12) from the cover.
- Remove three bolts (13) from the bottom of cover (14) .

- Use two people in order to remove the air tank and the cover. The air tank and the cover weigh 34 kg (75 lb).
Note: The air tank is not fastened to the cover. The air tank may separate from the cover during removal of the air tank and removal of the cover.
Installation Procedure
- Use two people in order to install the cover and the air tank. The cover and the air tank weigh 34 kg (75 lb).

- Install three bolts (13) to cover (14) .
- Install three bolts (12) .

- Connect hose assembly (11) to the front of the air tank.
- Connect hose assembly (10) to the rear of the air tank.
- Install solenoid valve (8) and install two screws (9) .

- Connect electrical connector (7) for solenoid valve (8) .

- Install sensor (6) into the adapter on the air tank.

- Install pressure sensor group (4) and install the clip. Install bolt (5) .
- Connect electrical connector (3) .
- Install valve (2) to the cover.

- Install two bolts (1) in order to secure the valve.
