Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the evaporator coil. Refer to the removal procedure of Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |
Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Plug all hoses and tubes. This will help to prevent fluid loss and this will help to keep contaminants from entering the system.
- Drain the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
- Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from heater coil (2) .

- Remove heater coil (2) .
Installation Procedure
Note: Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, replace the worn parts or damaged parts with new Caterpillar parts.
- Install heater coil (2) .
- Connect hose assemblies (1) to heater coil (2) .

- Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)".
End By: Install the evaporator coil. Refer to the installation procedure of Disassembly and Assembly, "Evaporator Coil - Remove and Install".
