New Water Temperature Regulator Has Shorter Response Time{1355}
Usage:
All 3500 Series Industrial, Generator Set and Vehicular Engines
Description of Change: A new water temperature regulator is now used in the housing and regulator group on the above engines. The new regulator has a shorter response time; the time needed for the regulator to change from open to closed or closed to open is less. The new regulator will more accurately control the jacket water temperature.
The former regulator, which has a much longer response time, can permit the water temperature to become too cool before it closes.
Adaptable As: The new 4W4794 Regulator is a direct replacement for the former 9N2894 Regulator in this application. The new regulator is in effect as shown in the chart.
