SERVICE MAGAZINE, OCTOBER 24, 1983, PAGE 7. Some new information can now be added to the article "New Exciter Stator Field Core Assembly And Bracket." In the chart, add the information which follows.

--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

Description of Change: A new core assembly and mounting bracket are now used in the above generators. The new parts have a new design in which four bolts and washers are used to hold the core assembly to the bracket. This will increase the service life of both parts.

Formerly, the core assembly and bracket were held in place with two bolts and/or welded tabs. Reports show that in some generator applications these bolts or tabs have broken off.

Adaptable As: The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts. The former parts have been canceled.
