6V4163 Bit And 6V4164 Driver Now Available For Removal Of Bolts For Flyweight Carrier{0612,1264}

Usage:

3208, 3304 And 3306 Engines With Sleeve Metering Fuel System

NOTE: There have been numerous questions about the removal of the 8N2663 Carrier on sleeve metering fuel systems. This article is a reprint of an article in the February 23, 1981 Service Magazine. The article announced two tools that can be used to remove and install the bolts that hold these carriers in position.

An 8N2663 Carrier is now used instead of the former 4N446 Carrier in sleeve metering fuel systems. New bolts are used to hold the 8N2663 Carrier in place. The new bolts have a smaller internal hex than the former bolts.

The 6V4163 Bit and 6V4164 Driver are now available for removal of these bolts with the smaller internal hex.

The new driver and bit can be used with a higher torque than the 2P8263 Socket Assembly. This extra torque is necessary for removal and installation of the carrier bolts.

Use the 6V4163 Bit and the 6V4164 Driver to remove these bolts.
