Assembly Procedure

1. Ensure that the following parts are aligned correctly upon assembly: turbine housing (3), cartridge assembly (6) and compressor cover (4) .

2. Position turbine housing (3) on cartridge assembly (6) .

3. Position compressor cover (4) on cartridge assembly (6) .

4. Tighten clamp (1) to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in). Tighten clamp (2) to a torque of 10.2 ± 0.7 N·m (90 ± 6 lb in).

5. Gently tap clamp (1) and clamp (2) with a soft faced hammer.

6. Tighten clamp (1) again to a torque of 14 ± 1 N·m (124 ± 9 lb in). Tighten clamp (2) again to a torque of 10.2 ± 0.7 N·m (90 ± 6 lb in).

7. Connect hose (5) to compressor cover (4) .

End By: Install the turbocharger. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Turbocharger - Install".
