ON - The battery disconnect switch must be ON in order to supply electrical power to the machine so that the electrical systems will function.

ON - The engine start switch key (1) must be turned to the ON position in order to supply electrical power to the operator's compartment so that the CMS will function.

Panel Test Switch - With a stopped engine, move switch (3) up to the ON position. All indicators (2) should come on and fault light (4) should flash until the switch is released. The switch will return to the OFF position when the switch is released.

If any of the indicators do not come on or fault light does not flash, do not start the engine. Complete all of the necessary repairs before you start the engine.

If all of the indicators come on and the fault light flashes, start the engine. Repeat the panel test with the engine running. Move the test switch up to the ON position. The fault alarm should sound. The indicators should come on. The fault light should flash.

If the indicators, the fault light, or the alarm fail to function, stop the engine. Inspect the system that failed. Complete all of the necessary repairs before the engine is started.
