Installation Procedure

1. Install Tooling (B) to the engine, as shown.

2. Use a hoist to install the engine. The weight of the engine is 998 kg (2200 lb).

3. Install two engine mounting bolts (38). The torque for two engine mounting bolts (38) is 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).

4. Install six torque converter to flywheel housing bolts (37) .

5. Remove Tooling (A) .

6. Connect transmission oil cooler lines (36) .

7. Install guard (34) and three bolts (35). Repeat this step for the other side of the machine.

8. Connect two electrical connectors (33) .

9. Connect wire harness (32) and tighten the screw.

10. Connect wire harness (32) and tighten the screw.

11. Connect electrical connector (31) .

12. Install air cleaner and tighten clamp (29) .

13. Connect tube (28) .

14. Connect positive cable (26) to the electric starting motor.

15. Connect ground strap (27) and rod assembly (25) .

16. Connect hose assembly (21) and (23) .

17. Install bolt (22) (hidden) in order to attach transmission oil cooler line (24) to the frame.

18. Install fan spider assembly (20). Use two people to install fan spider assembly (20). The weight of fan spider assembly (20) is 27 kg (60 lb).

19. Install two-piece guard assembly (19) .

20. Install condenser (18) .

21. Install bolts (17). Repeat this step on the other side of machine.

22. Remove oil filter (16) .

23. Install the refrigerant compressor and plate (15) as one unit.

24. Install two bolts (13) .

25. Install oil filter (16) .

26. Install belt (10) .

27. Adjust the tension of belt (10) .

28. Check the fan belt tension. Use a Kent Moore Company BT-33-97 gauge. The correct tension for a new V-belt is 534 ± 22 N (120 ± 5 lb). The correct tension for a used V-belt is 400 ± 44 N (90 ± 10 lb). A used V-belt has been active over 30 minutes at rated speed.

29. Tighten nut (11) and bolt (12) .

33. Install bolt (4) .

34. Connect hoses (5) and tighten hose clamps.

35. Connect wire (1) to the hydraulic tank (3) .

36. Install cable tie (2) .

37. Fill the cooling system. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7140, "Cooling System Coolant (DEAC) - Change" for the correct procedure. The capacity of the cooling system is 56 L (14.8 US gal).

End By:

1. Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and AssemblyRENR3046, "Drive Shaft (Front) - Remove and Install".
2. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.
3. Install the muffler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Muffler - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
4. Install the sweeps. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Sweeps - Remove and Install".
5. Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect" for the machine that is being serviced.
