Grapple Arch (Dual Function) - Remove and Install

Start By:
- Remove the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
- Support arch cylinders (1) with wood blocks, as shown.

- Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4), as shown.

- Disconnect hose assemblies (5) .
- Remove bolts (2) and pins (3) from arch cylinders (1) .
- Lower arch (4) onto Tooling (A), as shown.

- Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4) .

- Remove bolts (5) and pins (6) from arch (4). The weight of the arch is approximately 955 kg (2100 lb).

- Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4) and install the arch. The weight of the arch is approximately 955 kg (2100 lb).

- To secure arch (4) to the rear frame, install pins (6) and bolts (5) .
- Support arch (4) with Tooling (A), as shown.

- Support arch cylinders (1) with wood blocks, as shown.

- Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4). Raise the arch into position.

- Install pins (3) and bolts (2) in arch cylinders (1) .
End By: Install the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom- Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
