Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

1. Support arch cylinders (1) with wood blocks, as shown.

2. Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4), as shown.

3. Disconnect hose assemblies (5) .

4. Remove bolts (2) and pins (3) from arch cylinders (1) .

5. Lower arch (4) onto Tooling (A), as shown.

6. Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4) .

7. Remove bolts (5) and pins (6) from arch (4). The weight of the arch is approximately 955 kg (2100 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4) and install the arch. The weight of the arch is approximately 955 kg (2100 lb).

2. To secure arch (4) to the rear frame, install pins (6) and bolts (5) .

3. Support arch (4) with Tooling (A), as shown.

4. Support arch cylinders (1) with wood blocks, as shown.

5. Fasten a suitable lifting device to arch (4). Raise the arch into position.

6. Install pins (3) and bolts (2) in arch cylinders (1) .

End By: Install the boom. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple Boom- Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
