Control Valve (Winch) - Disassemble - C-500 Series Winch

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the winch control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Valve (Winch) - Remove" for the machine that is being serviced.

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

  1. Remove plug (2) and O-ring seal (3) from valve body (1).

  2. Remove spring retainer (4) and O-ring seal (5) from valve body (1).

  3. Remove spool assembly (6) from valve body (1).

  4. Remove bolt (7), washers (8), washer (9), spring (10), exterior tube (11), interior tube (12), and washer (13) from spool (6).

  5. Remove lip seal (14) from valve body (1).

  6. Remove relief valve (19), O-ring seal (17), and O-ring seal (18) from valve body (1).

  7. Remove nipple assemblies (20) and O-ring seals (15). Remove plug (21) and O-ring seal (16).
