New Housing Assembly, Front Housing And Carrier Used In 8L4230 And 8L4231 Marine Gear Groups (Twin Disc MG509){3300}

Usage:

3306 And 3406 Engines Equipped With 8L4230 Or 8L4231 Marine Gear Groups

Description of Change: New housing assemblies, front housings and carriers are used in 8L4230 and 8L4231 Marine Gear Groups. The bore in the new front housing for the new carrier is made to a closer tolerance than the former front cover. Also, the new carrier does not have the three dowel pins that the former carrier has.

Adaptable To: The new housing assembly, front housing and carrier are adaptable to all 8L4230 and 8L4231 Marine Gear Groups that have a Twin Disc serial number that begins with the number "5". The new parts are adaptable to 8L4230 and 8L4231 Marine Gear Groups that have a Twin Disc serial number that begins with the number "3" only if all the new parts are used together. The former parts are still available for replacement of individual components.
