611 Wheel Tractor-Scraper Caterpillar

The cooling system pressure cap for the machine is located on the top of the expansion tank. The expansion tank is directly above the radiator.

Steam or hot coolant can cause severe burns. Do not loosen the filler cap or the pressure cap on a hot engine. Allow the engine to cool before removing the filler cap or the pressure cap.

1. Remove the cooling system pressure cap slowly in order to relieve the pressure.

2. Inspect the cooling system pressure cap for damage, for foreign material, and for deposits.

3. Clean the cooling system pressure cap with a clean cloth or replace the cap, if necessary.

4. Inspect the condition of the gasket in the cooling system pressure cap. Replace the cap, if necessary.

5. Install the cooling system pressure cap.
