Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

- Use Tool (A) in order to install the snap ring in housing (48) .
- Use Tool (B) in order to install seal (66) in the housing.

- Use Tool (A) in order to install the snap ring in housing (48) .
- Use Tool (B) in order to install seal (65) in the housing.
- If cup (64) was removed, use Tool (B) in order to install the cup in housing (48) .
Note: If the yoke or yoke bearings were replaced, a preload adjustment is necessary. Refer to Specifications Manual, SENR3258, "Adjustment Of Swash Plate Bearings" for the proper preload adjustment. No preload adjustment is necessary if the original yoke and bearings are used.

- Install cone (63) in housing (48) .

- Apply 7M-7456 Sealant to the shaft of two stops (62). Install the stops so that the centerline of radius (X) is parallel with the pintle centerline within 0.60 mm (.020 inch). The stops must be seated against yoke (55) .

- Install yoke (55) in housing (48) .

- Install bearing cones (61) and bearing cups (60) in both sides of the housing.

Note: Install the shims under spacer (58) .
- Install the shims into the original position.
- Put spacer (58) and O-ring seal (59) into position on each side of the housing.

- Install cover (57) and the four bolts that hold the cover to housing (48). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 16 ± 1 N·m (142 ± 9 lb in).

- Install dowel (56) in yoke (55) .
Note: Put tape around the splines of shaft (53) in order to avoid damaging the shaft seals when the shaft is installed.
- Put shaft (53) into position in the housing.
- Position swashplate (54) on yoke (55). Hole (X) in swashplate (54) must be in alignment with dowel (56) .
Note: If the shaft bearings, the shaft, the valve block or the housing were replaced, an end play adjustment must be made. Refer to Specifications Manual, SENR3258, "Shaft Bearing End Play Adjustment". No end play adjustment is necessary, if the original shaft bearings, the shaft, the valve block and the housing are used.

- Put washer (46), spring (45), washer (44) and snap ring (42) into position in cylinder block (41) .
- Remove the 6.4 mm (.250 inch) stock from the side of 4B-5274 9/16 inch washer (43), as shown.
- Use a press and 4B-5274 9/16 inch Washer (43) in order to compress the spring. Install snap ring (42) with Tool (A) .

- Position spacer (50), nine pistons (51) and cage (52) in cylinder block (41) .

- Put cylinder block (41) in position on shaft (53) .
- Rotate the cylinder block until the notch in spacer (50) is aligned with the hole in the yoke.
- Install key (49) through the hole in the yoke and in the notch in the spacer.

- Install original spacer (40) on the shaft. The chamfer on the spacer must be toward the shoulder on the shaft.
- Install cover (47) and the four bolts that hold the cover. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 16 ± 1 N·m (142.0 ± 9 lb in).

- Install bearing (39) on the shaft.
- Put gasket (38) into position on pump (2) .

- If bearing cup (33) was removed, install the cup in valve block (24) with Tool (B) .
- If pin (35) was removed, install the pin in the valve block.
- Install the spring, the poppet and seat (36) in the valve block.
- Install the O-ring seal on plug (37). Install plug (37) in the valve block. Tighten the plug to a torque of 57 ± 3 N·m (42.0 ± 2 lb ft).
- Install the O-ring seals on three plugs (34). Install three plugs (34) in the valve block. Tighten the plugs to a torque of 16 ± 1 N·m (12.0 ± 1 lb ft).

- Position the O-ring seal and flange (29) on valve block (24). Install the four bolts that hold flange (29) in place.
- Install the O-ring seals on control piston (30) and bias piston (32). Apply 7M-7456 Bearing Mount Compound on the threads of pistons (30) and (32). Install pistons (30) and (32) in the valve block. Tighten the pistons to a torque of 80 ± 4 N·m (60.0 ± 3 lb ft).
- Align the notch in valve plate (31) with the pin in valve block (24). Install valve plate (31) on the valve block.

- Install the spacer and cylinder (26) on the control piston.
- Install spring (28) and cylinder (27) on the bias piston.

- Put valve block (24) into position on pump (2). Install eight bolts (25) that hold the valve block.
- Cross torque the bolts in order to bring the valve block, the gasket and the pump together. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 52.5 ± 2.5 N·m (38.70 ± 2 lb ft).

- Install the O-ring seals of plugs (22) and (23) .
- Install three plugs (22) in compensator (3). Tighten the plugs to a torque of 19 ± 1 N·m (14.0 ± 1 lb ft).
- Install plug (23) in compensator (3). Tighten the plug to a torque of 43 ± 3 N·m (32.0 ± 2 lb ft).

- Put compensator (3) into position on the pump and install four bolts (4) that hold the compensator. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 34 ± 3 N·m (25.0 ± 2 lb ft).

NOTICE |
To avoid system damage, make sure that the hydraulic pump is properly filled with hydraulic oil before start-up. |

- Fill the hydraulic pump with clean hydraulic oil.
End By:
Install the implement pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Implement Pump - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
