Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".

1. Place wood block (1) between the rear axle housing and the frame. Repeat this step on the opposite side of the machine. This will prevent the rear axle housing from oscillating.

2. Position Tooling (A) under the rear loader frame, as shown.

3. Use Tooling (A) to raise the rear of the machine so that the rear tires are off the ground.

4. Fasten suitable lifting slings and a hoist to the tire, as shown. Remove 20 bolts (2) .

5. Use the hoist to remove the tire and the rim. The combined weight of the tire and of the rim is 680 kg (1500 lb).

1. Use suitable lifting slings and a hoist to position the tire and the rim, as shown. The combined weight of the tire and of the rim is 680 kg (1500 lb).

2. Install 20 bolts (2). The initial torque for bolts (2) is 570 ± 80 N·m (420 ± 60 lb ft). Then turn bolts (2) by an additional 60 ± 5 degrees.

3. Lower the machine. Remove Tooling (A) .

4. Remove wood blocks (1) from both sides of the machine.

End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
