Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Connect the steering frame lock.

1. Remove six nuts (2). Remove fender (1).

2. Place Tooling (A) under the front frame. Use Tooling (A) to lift the machine. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).

3. Support the machine with Tooling (B).

4. Use suitable lifting slings and a hoist to support the tire and the rim, as shown.

5. Remove 20 bolts (3).

6. Use a hoist to remove the tire and the rim as a unit. The combined weight of the tire and of the rim is 680 kg (1500 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Use suitable lifting slings and a hoist to position the tire and the rim, as shown. The combined weight of the tire and of the rim is 680 kg (1500 lb).

2. Install 20 bolts (3). The initial torque for bolts (3) is 570 ± 80 N·m (420 ± 60 lb ft). Then turn bolts (3) by an extra 60 ± 5 degrees.

3. Place Tooling (A) under the front frame as shown. Use Tooling (A) to lift the machine. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (A).

4. Remove Tooling (B).

5. Lower the machine. Remove Tooling (A).

6. Install fender (1). Install six nuts (2).
