Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the right side engine guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines. Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates. |

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
Note: Check the condition of all seals and of all components. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
- Shut off the fuel supply valve at the fuel tank.
- Disconnect two hose assemblies (4) from electronic control module (1) .

- Disconnect two wiring harness connectors (3) from electronic control module (1) .
- Remove mounting bolts (2) and remove the electronic control module.
Installation Procedure
- Install electronic control module (1) with mounting bolts (2) .

- Connect two wiring harness connectors (3) to electronic control module (1) .
- Connect two hose assemblies (4) to electronic control module (1) .
- Turn on the fuel supply valve at the fuel tank.

End By: Install the right side engine guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
