PROBLEM
Show/hide table
Existing powertrain oil cooler bolts can loosen on certain D6T Track-Type Tractors. If the existing washer/bolt combination becomes loose, the tube can leak.
In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 1% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

Rework Procedure

1. Remove middle belly guard to gain access to Powertrain Oil Cooler Tube Bolts.
2. Replace existing bolts and washers with new 8T-4184 and 8T-4194 Bolts and new 164-6819 Washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 100 +/-20 Nm (73 +/-15 lbs ft.)
(See Image 1.1.1 and Image 1.1.2)
-Thicker washers prevent bolt heads from interfering with tube elbow. Which in turn, creates more surface area for torqueing.
