Six tools are available to assist the technician with the removal and the installation of the camshaft and the camshaft bearings for the above engines. The technician uses the 201-4211 Pilot Assembly and the 201-4212 Pilot Assembly to remove the camshaft. The same tools are used to install the camshaft. The 201-4209 Bearing Pilot guides the camshaft bearings into the bore during installation. The 201-4214 Receiving Sleeve stabilizes the tooling during removal of the bearings. The 201-4208 Backup Plate removes the front camshaft bearing, and the 201-4213 Puller Plate removes the remaining camshaft bearings from the block. All of the tools must be used with the 8S-2241 Camshaft Bearing Tool Group.
