--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------

A new edition of Special Instruction Form SEHS6895, "Bench Testing Hydraulic Components," is available. The Special Instruction has a new format, and contains nearly twice as much information as the previous edition. It is packaged in a sturdy three-ring binder for easier reading and faster retrieval of needed information, and easier storage.

Convenient tab dividers separate the six major sections of the manual, which are:

Hydraulic Test Benches and Accessories
(includes all tooling requirements)
Hydraulic Pump Testing
Hydraulic Motor Testing
Power Shift Transmission Testing
Relief Valve Testing
Hydraulic Cylinder Testing

Test procedures are easier to follow with the new format. A typical sequence for component testing includes:

1. installation on the test bench
2. test procedure
3. test specifications
4. illustration and list of tools needed

Special Instruction Manual "Bench Testing Hydraulic Components."

The bulk of the Special Instruction is concerned with Power Shift Transmissions. Data for current and non-current models are included, with sub-sections on particular machine models, such as the new 943 and 953 Track Loaders, 966D Wheel Loaders, and the D9L and D10 Tractors.

To insure that all information is kept accurate and up-to-date, "Bench Testing Hydraulic Components" will be reprinted in full with necessary changes at least once a year. Distribution of the Special Instruction, which is available in paper form or microfilm, is by subscription only. Billing is done automatically each year.

To order the following items, use the special form in the July 31, 1981 Preview or use a Miscellaneous Materials Order Form.
