NOTE: The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program. Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
NOTE: This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3796" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3796" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
NOTE: This Revised Service Letter replaces the September 7, 1995 (Revised November 1995) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product.

Parts Needed
Dealers will need to order parts for this Program.
- 1 - 7C2519 Hose (needed only if the existing hose is cut)
Action Required
Loosen the hose clamp nearest the inlet manifold, and inspect the hose for any signs having been cut. If the hose has any signs of having been cut, replace it with a new 7C2519 Hose. Tighten the clamps to a torque of 7 N·M. Refer to the Illustration below for location of the parts.
NOTE: Products equipped with an air inlet heater are NOT affected by this Program because a different air inlet elbow is used.
