Description of Change: New fuel injector groups are used in these engines. These new fuel injector groups include the following improvements:

The holes in the tip of the new fuel injector groups are abrasive flow machined. This process will help reduce wear on the injector tip.
The components of the check valve assembly in the injector have tighter clearances. This will help reduce wear on the spring for the check valve.

Adaptable To: The table identifies the new fuel injector groups, the former fuel injector groups and the remanufactured fuel injector groups. The new fuel injector groups are effective with the engines that follow:

3606 (S/N: 8RB00870) Engines
3608 (S/N: 6MC00665) Engines
3612 (S/N: 9RC00386; 9FR00021; 2NZ00176) Engines
3616 (S/N: 1PD00393; 1FN00150) Engines
3618 (S/N: 2MW00105) Engines

The new fuel injector groups and the remanufactured fuel injector groups are direct replacements for the former fuel injector groups in all 3600 Diesel Engines. The former fuel injector groups are cancelled.
