PROBLEM
Show/hide table
The existing 224-8926 Rear Fuel Line can fail on certain D9T Track-Type Tractors. If the existing rear fuel line rubs against other components it can cause a fuel leak.
In Order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 18% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.

Rework Procedure
Group Number 1
Remove the old fuel line and clips. Inspect the machine engine wiring harness for indications of rubbing against the rear fuel line. If the fuel line and machine engine wiring harness have made contact and the wiring harness has rubbed through exposing the wiring, the wiring harness should be replaced.
Image 1.2.1 below shows the proper routing of the fuel line and Machine engine wiring harness. It also indicates specific points of interest.
A ? Front Fitting into Fuel Manifold B ? Front 2-Piece P-Clip with Grommet C ? Rear 2-Piece P-Clip with Grommet D ? Potential Interference Between Hose and Harness E ? Potential Interference Between Hose and Harness F ? Potential Interference Between Hose and Harness G ? Potential Interference Between Hose and ECM (Refer to Image 1.1.1)

- Use the 7X-1463 and 9X-3893 Couplers and the 9X-2373 Bulk Hose to build the new fuel line 310-7147. - Install the new 310-7147 Fuel Line into the rear fitting in the back of the head - Install the rear 2 piece p clip and grommet on the hose as shown in Image 1.2.1. (7S-3916, 7S-3919, 7V-6571). - Bolt the clip to the rear flywheel housing using the existing bolt and washer. - Adjust the grommet so that the seam of the grommet is in the seam of the clip. - Adjust the hose so that it does not contact anything. - Tighten the 10mm clip bolt to a torque of 55 +/- 10 Nm (41 +/- 7 lb ft). (Refer to Image 1.2.1)
Image1.2.1
- Install the front 2 piece p clip to the 185-2058 Bracket using the existing bolt as shown in Image 1.3.1. - Adjust the grommet so that the seam of the grommet is in the seam of the clip. - Adjust the clip so the hose does not contact anything. - Tighten the 3/8" clip bolt to a torque of 47 +/- 9 Nm (35 +/- 7 lb ft). (Refer to Image 1.3.1) - Install the front hose fitting into the manifold as shown and tighten. (Refer to Image 1.3.2) - Recheck/adjust the entire line to make sure nothing is touching the fuel line.
