PROBLEM
The tube, hose, and dryer need to be replaced on certain D6N T3(XL and LGP) Track-Type Tractors. On the existing tube and hose, the charging ports have been inverted. |

On the existing hose and tube, the charging ports have been inverted. You will not be charged for the service performed. Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 23Jan2008 when scheduling this service. NOTE: The quick couplers used in the original lines group will not be present in the new lines group. 1) Purge the A/C System. 2) Disassemble all necessary sheet metal. 3) Follow Service Manual, SENR5664, for guidelines on disassembly and assembly procedures. 4) Disassemble the 286-0105 Tube, 286-0104 Hose, and 3E-3535 Dryer. 5) Install new 309-1489 Tube, 309-1490 Hose, and 257-3227 Dryer. 6) Reassemble the sheet metal. 7) Charge the A/C System with 1.5 Kg (3.3 lb) of refrigerant. |
