Carburetor Control Linkage

(1) Full load position (maximum fuel)

(A) Angle between vertical and full load position ... 30 degrees

Use the following procedure to install the actuator lever:

  1. Hold the actuator control shaft in the SHUTOFF position (2) .

  1. Loosen bolt (8) and rotate the lever (7) to the closed angle (D) that is 40 ± 5 degrees.

  1. Verify that the lever (7) is the correct distance from the governor. Distance (E) is 4.3 ± 0.5 mm (0.17 ± 0.02 inch).

  1. Tighten bolt (8) .

Use the following procedure to install the carburetor lever:

  1. Hold the throttle plate closed.

  1. Loosen bolt (5) and rotate carburetor lever (4) to closed angle (B) that is 45 degrees.

  1. Tighten bolt (5) .

Use the following procedure to install the control rod:

  1. Hold carburetor lever (4) in the SHUTOFF position (2) .

  1. Adjust carburetor control rod (3) until the rod fits between lever (7) and carburetor lever (4) .

  1. Ensure that there is no binding during full travel of the control linkage.

  1. Torque the jam nut (6) to 13 ± 3 N·m (115 ± 27 lb in).

(C) Approximate length of the carburetor control rod. ... 518 mm (20.4 inch)
