Fuel Shutoff Solenoid - Test

Usage:

3618 2MW
Disengage the clutch and operate the engine at low idle rpm for this test.

The solenoids for fuel shutoffs are located in the monitor panel on the left rear side of the engine.

    Note: Because of the unexpected shutdowns, the control system will probably generate alarms during this test. This is normal. The response of the control system will depend on the equipment in the specific installation. After the test, clear the alarms and reset the control system.

    (1) Push button for the fuel control linkage

    (2) Solenoid for the fuel control linkage

    (3) Push button for the shutdown cylinder

    (4) Solenoid for the shutdown cylinder

  1. Press button (1) and hold the button down.

    If the shutdown is operating correctly, the engine will coast to a stop.

  1. Acknowledge any alarms and reset the control system.

  1. Restart the engine.

  1. Press button (3) and hold the button down.

    If the shutdown is operating correctly, the engine will coast to a stop.

  1. Acknowledge any alarms and reset the control system.
