Configuration

Usage:

725C2 2L6
A configuration is used to enable or set the available features. A configuration should be performed if an Electronic Control Module (ECM) has been replaced or removed.

The Cat® Electronic Technician (Cat ET) service tool is used to access the configuration procedures.

Accessing Configurations

  1. Connect Cat ET to the machine.

    After communication has been established, Cat ET will list the ECMs that are on the machine.

  2. Choose the menu item "Payload".

  3. Select the "Service" drop-down menu.

  4. Select the "Configuration" function.

    The list of configurations will appear.

  5. Select the "Service" drop-down menu.

  6. Select the "Configuration" function.

  7. Select the desired item from the list.

    A pop-up that is called "Change Parameter Value" will appear.

  8. Select "OK".

Tailgates and Liners

Ensure that the machine setup has the correct tailgate and liner configuration.

Lighting Options

To configure lighting options:

  1. Connect to Cat ET.

  2. Select the "Configuration" tool.

  3. Select "Chassis Configuration" > "Payload Load State Indication Lamp Strategy Configuration" > "Change".

  4. Ensure that "Value" is set to "TWO LAMPS" configuration. Select "OK".

Light Overrides

To configure light overrides:

  1. Select "ECM" > "Chassis" > "OK".

  2. Select "Diagnostics" > "Diagnostic Tests".

  3. Select "Override Parameters".

  4. Select "Green Payload Lamp" or "Red Payload Lamp" to test that the lamp is functioning.

    Toggle function is between "NORMAL", "OFF", or "FLASHING".
