Stop/Reset Key |
STOP/RESET KEY - This key places the module into the Stop/Reset Mode. The mode will clear any alarm conditions for which the triggering criteria have been removed. If the engine is running and the STOP/RESET KEY is operated, the module will automatically instruct the changeover device to unload the generator. If load transfer is used, load transfer is deactivated. The fuel supply will be removed and the engine will be brought to a stop. If a remote start signal is present while operating in this mode, a remote start will not occur.

Manual Mode Key |
MANUAL MODE KEY - This key is used in order to allow manual control of the functions of the generator. Entering the mode from any other mode will not initially cause any change of the operating state. However, this allows further keys to be used to control the engine operation. For example, once in MANUAL MODE it is possible to manually start the engine by using the START KEY. If the engine is running off-load in the MANUAL MODE and a remote start signal becomes present, the module will automatically instruct the changeover device to place the generator on load. If load transfer is used, load transfer is deactivated. If the remote start signal is removed, the generator will remain on load until either the STOP/RESET KEY or the AUTO KEY is operated.

Start Key |
START KEY - The START KEY is used to manually start the engine. The module must first be placed in the MANUAL MODE. The START KEY should then be operated. Then, the engine will automatically attempt to start. If the engine fails to start on the first attempt, the engine will retry until either the engine starts or the preset number of attempts have been made. In order to stop the engine, press the STOP/RESET KEY. It is also possible to configure the module such that the START KEY must be held in order to maintain the engine cranking.
Note: Different modes of operation are possible. Refer to the "P810 For Windows" software manual for details.

Automatic Mode Key |
AUTOMATIC MODE KEY - This key places the module into the AUTOMATIC MODE. This mode allows the module to control the function of the generator automatically. The module will monitor the remote start terminal. Once a start condition is signalled, the set will be automatically started and placed on load. If load transfer is used, load transfer is activated. If the starting signal is removed, the module will automatically transfer the load from the generator. Then, the module will shut down the set. The stop delay timer and the cooling timer will run. Then, the module will wait for the next start event. Refer to Systems Operation, "Automatic Operation" for more information.
