Removal Procedure

1. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change" for the correct draining procedure.

2. Remove guard assembly (1).

3. Remove dip stick tube (2).

   Note: Mark the location for each of bolts (5). The bolts are not all the same length.

4. Disconnect hose assembly (3) and harness assembly (4).

5. Remove bolts (5), oil pan (6), and the gasket.

6. Remove screws (7) and frame (8).

Installation Procedure

1. Install frame (8) and screws (7). Tighten screws (7) to a torque of 20 N·m (177 lb in).

2. Install Tooling (A) in Locations (X). Install the gasket and oil pan (6).

3. Install bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) in the sequence shown, to a torque of 22 N·m (195 lb in).

4. Remove Tooling (A). Install the remainder of bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) in the sequence shown, to a torque of 22 N·m (195 lb in).

5. Connect hose assembly (3) and harness assembly (4).

6. Apply Tooling (B) to the nut and install dip stick tube (2).

7. Install guard assembly (1).

8. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil and Filter - Change". Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil - Check" for the correct filling procedure.
