A New Cover Assembly Helps Hold The Oil Screen In Place {1302}

Usage:

3512B BRC
Engine:
3512B (S/N: BRC1-148)

Description of Change: The cover assembly (2) on the oil pan (3) of the above engine has been redesigned. This change prevents the oil screen handle (1) from dislodging from the oil screen housing. A service part is available for engines that do not have the new cover assembly.

Adaptable To: The 205-4776 Cover As replaces the 7N-6388 Cover in the 127-4462 Oil Pan Gp. This change is effective with 3512B engines with serial numbers S/N:BRC149-UP
. The new 205-4746 Plate As is available as a service part for earlier engines. This plate assembly must be installed according to the following procedure in order to hold the oil screen handle in place.

Procedure

  1. Remove the existing 7N-6388 Cover (4) .

  1. Lubricate the 6V-4314 O-Ring Seal (7) with engine oil.

  1. Install the 6V-4314 O-Ring Seal to the 205-4746 Plate As (5) .

  1. Reinstall the existing cover to the oil pan on top of the 205-4746 Plate As using four longer 0S-1591 Bolts (6) .
