Power Module Switchgear (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage) Caterpillar

Engine Stopping

Usage:

PM3508 BLM
In order to avoid overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components, the engine must be shut down properly. The engine will shut down without unnecessary wear under automatic operation or manual operation. Refer to the engine Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Stopping".

Use an emergency stop push button (ESPB) ONLY in an emergency situation. DO NOT use an ESPB for normal engine stopping. After an emergency stop, DO NOT start the engine until the problem that required the emergency stop has been corrected.
