The SPS343 Skid Mounted Pumper is equipped with two coolant level switches. The coolant level switches are equipped with gauges. The coolant level switches are located on the left front side of the skid on the expansion tanks.

Observe the position of the gauge needles. At normal operating temperature, the proper coolant level is displayed on the gauge face when the gauge needles indicate between the "FULL" mark and the "LOW" mark. If the gauge needles indicate into the "LOW" mark, the "DECK ENGINE WARNING" light that is located on the URCC will illuminate. If the coolant mixture is low, add the proper coolant mixture.

Add Coolant

Note: For the proper coolant mixture to use, see this Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities and Recommendations" (Maintenance Section).

  1. Stop the engine. Allow the engine to cool.

  1. Remove the cooling system filler cap slowly in order to relieve any pressure. Pour the proper coolant mixture into the filler pipe.

    Gaskets

  1. Clean the cooling system filler cap. Inspect the gaskets of the cooling system filler cap. If the gaskets are damaged, replace the old cooling system filler cap with a new cooling system filler cap. Install the cooling system filler cap.

  1. Start the engine. Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
