Connections for the engine control (1) are located on the upper left side of the controller. See illustration 1. The engine start relay provides the output signal in order to start the engine. The contact is controlled by the engine start timer. The ratings of the contacts are 10 Amp at 120 ACV or 10 Amp at 28 DCV.
Illustration 2 represents a de-energized engine start relay. Generators require a contact closure in order to start the engine. Use terminals #1 and #2.
Note: Certain products provide customer connections on an auxiliary terminal strip which is located on the MX200 controller. These products are equipped with one of the following options for the engine controls:
- Engine selector ("OFF-AUTO-START")
- Engine selector ("OFF-ON")
- Extended range delay timer, which is used to delay the start of the engine
Please refer to the circuit diagram for the corresponding option. See Schematic, RENR5852.
