Installation Procedure


NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

    Note: Do not reuse gasket (5) after disassembly. Replace the gasket with a new part before installation.

  1. Install gasket (5) into the injector bore in the cylinder head.

  1. Install fuel injection nozzle (3) into the cylinder head. Tighten the fuel injection nozzles to a torque of 64 N·m (47 lb ft).

  1. Inspect copper gaskets (4) that are for the fuel return line at the injectors. If the copper gaskets are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Install copper gasket (4) on each fuel injection nozzle (3) .

  1. Install fuel return line (2) and nuts (1) on each fuel injection nozzle (3). Tighten each nut (1) to a torque of 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

End By: Install the fuel injection lines. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Injection Lines - Remove and Install".
