Rotator Head Bolts - Replace
- Stop the machine engine in order to prevent inadvertent movement of the work tool.
Note: The host machine must be equipped with a boom lowering control valve in order to perform this procedure. If the host machine is not equipped with a boom lowering control valve, contact your Verachtert dealer.
- Remove rotator head bolt (2) from the outer ring (1) .

- Clean the threaded hole.
- Clean a new bolt (2) .
- Put 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound over the whole threaded length of new bolt (2).

- Install the new bolt (2) and tighten the new bolt. Use appropriate tooling to apply the torque that is specified in table 1.
- Put a mark on rotator head bolt (2) that has been replaced.
Note: The shear can be rotated manually in order to replace all of the bolts. Use a sufficiently long lever in order to rotate the shear.
- Repeat steps 3 through 8 for all of the rotator head bolts (2) on outer ring (1) .
- Remove bolts (5) and washers (4). Remove cover plate (3) .

- Cover plate (3) must be removed in order to access rotator head bolts (6) in the inner ring (7). Only a few bolts will be accessible at a time.

- Remove rotator head bolt (6) from the inner ring (7) .
- Clean the threaded hole.
- Clean a new bolt (6) .
- Put 155-0695 Thread Lock Compound over the whole threaded length of a new bolt (6) .
- Install the new bolt (6) and tighten new bolt. Use appropriate tooling to apply the torque that is specified in table 1.
- Put a mark on rotator head bolt (6) that has been replaced.

- Repeat steps 12 through 17 for all of the rotator head bolts (6) in the inner ring (7) .
- Install cover plate (3) .
- Install washers (4) and bolts (5) .
