Do not utilize any type of impact or automatic wrench to install the bolts which retain the locking bar. The bolts which retain the locking bar must be properly torqued. Tighten the bolts to the exact torque specifications and do not over torque the bolts during installation. Excessive torque applied to the bolts will result in damage in the thread root which will lead to failure of the bolt during operation. High shock-loads transmitted through the cylinder rod will result in a fatigue fracture of the bolt as a result of this excessive torque. As a result, a catastrophic failure of the cylinder may occur. |
