G3612 (S/N: 1YG)
G3616 (S/N: 4CG)

Description of Change: A new combustion feedback cable asssembly, a new connector assembly, and a new O-ring seal have been released. The new parts will help prevent water from entering into the joint that is created by the previous components. The combustion feedback cable assembly has been redesigned with a more rugged connector end that resists breakage during assembly. The new design also provides a better fit of the O-ring seal.

The connector assembly that is mounted into the cylinder head has also been redesigned. The new connector assembly provides better compression of the seal. The connector assembly also has 3 equally spaced slots in the threads. The slots will allow water to drain from the joint that is created by the cylinder head and the connector assembly. The new O-ring is specific to the new design. The O-ring is made of a material that will withstand the expected temperature range for this application.

Adaptable To: The 188-4927 Wire (Combustion Feedback Cable Assembly) and the 188-4926 Connector (Assembly) are direct replacements for the 134-8346 Wire (Combustion Feedback Cable Assembly) and the 133-3576 Connector (Assembly). The 134-8346 Wire (Combustion Feedback Cable Assembly) and the 133-3576 Connector (Assembly) have been cancelled.

The O-ring seals are designed to work with a specific combustion feedback cable assembly and connector assembly. Refer to the following table for serviceability of the O-ring.

Table 1
Connector Assembly     Combustion Feedback Cable Serviceable O-ring Seal
133-3576     176-9933
188-4926     189-3769

Note: The O-ring seal between the combustion feedback cable assembly and the connector assembly should be inspected at the 5000 hour maintenance interval. Replace the O-ring if the O-ring appears to have taken a set.

Tightening Guidelines

Note: Do not overtighten the combustion feedback cable nut to the connector assembly. The joint does not have a specific torque value. In order to avoid damage, careful assembly of the joint is required.

The combination of the 134-8346 Wire (Combustion Feedback Cable Assembly), the 133-3576 Connector (Assembly), and the 176-9933 Connector Seal (O-ring seal) requires you to use the following guideline:

  • The combustion feedback cable nut should be tightened one-half turn after the O-ring seal has made contact with the connector assembly.

The combination of the 188-4927 Wire (Combustion Feedback Cable Assembly), the 188-4926 Connector (Assembly), and the 189-3769 O-Ring Seal requires you to use the following guideline:

  • Tighten the combustion feedback cable nut to the connector assembly until a solid connection is made. Once a solid connection is made, the O-ring will have the proper compression.
