(1) After assembly, apply 250 kPa (36 psi) to 270 kPa (39 psi) of air pressure to the track roller. Sustain the air pressure for a minimum of 30 seconds. There should not be any pressure drop for a minimum of 30 seconds. If no leak is detected, add 0.4 L (0.10 US gal) of SAE 30CF oil through the stopper hole.
(2) Prior to assembly, these surfaces must be clean and free of protective coating.
(3) At assembly, O-rings of floating seals and all surfaces in contact with the O-rings must be clean and dry. Prior to installation, apply a thin film of oil on the contacting surfaces of the metal seal rings. The seal rings must be assembled square with the bore. The toric rings must not bulge and the toric rings must not twist.
(4) End Play:
Minimum ... 0.25 mm (.010 inch)
Maximum ... 1.25 mm (.049 inch)
(5) Lubricate the bore lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
(6) Install the pin with the slit in the range that is specified. The correct position of the pin is shown in View A-A.
- (B) Angle from centerline of shaft ... 20 degrees
- (C) Specified range ... 40 degrees
(7) The depth from the bottom of the chamfer to the top of the stopper after installation ... 7 ± 7 mm (0.28 ± 0.28 inch)
(8) Add 0.35 ± .015 L (.093 ± .004 US gal) of SAE 30 CD oil before the plug is installed. After installation, plug (7) must not be recessed below the surface of the stopper.
