MID 036 - CID 0017 - FMI 12 Fuel Shutoff Valve malfunction
Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) commands the gas shutoff valve to close but the engine still runs.
System Response:
The ECM terminates the ignition in order to shut down the engine. The shutdown output is activated. The code is logged.
Possible Performance Effect:
The engine is shut down.
Troubleshooting:
Test Step 1. Perform the following diagnostic procedure: "ECM Output Circuit (Fuel Control)"
